Instructions
Prepare Glass: Pour the kosher salt onto a small plate or into a shallow bowl. Rub a lime wedge around the rim of a tumbler or margarita glass, then dip it into the salt. Fill the glass with fresh ice.
Mix Cocktail: Add the reposado tequila, fresh lime juice, Cointreau, and agave nectar to a cocktail shaker. Fill the shaker ¾ full with ice and shake for 20–30 seconds until thoroughly chilled. Strain and pour into the prepared glass. Garnish with a lime wedge and serve.
Combine the tequila, lime juice, Cointreau, agave nectar, and cold water in a pitcher. Stir until the agave is fully incorporated, then cover and refrigerate until cold. Stir again before pouring into salt-rimmed glasses filled with fresh ice. Garnish with lime wedges.
Batching Tips:
Do not add ice directly to the pitcher. The added water replaces the dilution that normally occurs when shaking an individual margarita.
Since this contains fresh lime juice, prepare it no more than 1 day ahead for the freshest flavor.
