This Strawberry Compote is a deliciously sweet yet tart topping for ice cream, desserts, waffles, or just about anything! Fresh strawberries, sugar, lemon juice, a small pinch of kosher salt, and 30-minutes are all that you need to put this recipe together.
Strawberry Compote Ingredients
This recipe uses very simple ingredients:
- Fresh Strawberries
- Granulated Sugar
- Lemon Juice
- Kosher Salt
The fresh strawberries bring sweetness and tartness. Lemon juice brings some acid to the party, which helps to balance out how sweet this recipe is. The lemon juice also helps to highlight the tartness of the strawberries. A small pinch of kosher salt also helps bring out the full flavor of all of the other ingredients.
